Growing Up
When my sister and I were kids our favourite thing was to start the day before going to school by dancing to old 45″ records in the living room with our Dad. She went on to be a Software Developer (but also self-taught one-time-hopefully-again-time singer songwriter). I went on to have a long career in Branding and Design (but also self-taught-part-time music fan)!
From compiling to mixing
Playing and sharing new music for friends and family has always been something I’ve particularly enjoyed. So, I’ve made the jump to mixing and producing so I can really hone the craft.
This site is about sharing my love of music with everyone who’s interested and wants inspiration or a place to discover new things.
Record of the Day
I post a Record of the Day most days. This is inspired by the fact that people often ask me for music recommendations, particularly new music as they find it increasingly hard to find new stuff. But then there’s also so much in my collection that I have to share from the old stuff too. Whether that’s to remind people of music they’d forgotten or introduce them to something they may have missed. I’m pretty sure I could recommend something every day for eternity there’s so much great stuff out there.
So: Old (Missing You) and New (Not to be Missed)
As part of that I also share my own mixes on a regular basis. This is also a way to share old and new music but compiled together for mini musical journeys.
If you love music and also like to hear new things then hopefully I can be a reliable source to always provide a daily musical fix.

IN THE ABYSS is a series of deep and dark, progressive house mixes of my favourites over the century so far. Mixing old and new these are mini journeys in to the deep. I like them for working – but that’s not everyones thing; otherwise good for late nights or long ponders…
PURE… is a series of just that, Pure genre mixes. All 90s House, or Funk or Progressive House or Hip Hop or Drum & Bass or Chillout, etc. etc. Let me know if you’ve got a particular hankering for a certain kind of mix and I’ll see if I can oblige…
